SHA Level 2 Refunds / Withdrawal Policy

This policy covers payments, withdrawals, refunds, transfers, deferrals and remittances of tuition fees associated with the delivery of the Sound Healing Australia™ Level 2 Practitioner Training.

Definition of the Official Commencement of the Training
For the purposes of this Refund, Withdrawal, Transfer and Deferral Policy, the official commencement of the Level 2 Practitioner Training is the beginning of the compulsory three (3) month pre-immersion training period.
The compulsory pre-immersion training commences three (3) months prior to the first day of the face-to-face immersion and forms an essential part of the Level 2 Practitioner Training.
Students may receive access to welcome information, course resources, online learning materials or the student portal before the official commencement of the Training. This early access is provided to assist students with preparation and does not alter the official commencement date of the Training for the purposes of this policy.

Unless otherwise stated, all refund, withdrawal, transfer and deferral timeframes are calculated from the official commencement date of the Training (the commencement of the compulsory three-month pre-immersion training period), not from the first day of the face-to-face immersion.

SHA students enrolled in the Level 2 Practitioner Training are charged a tuition fee determined by Sound Healing Australia™ for the Training intake in which they are enrolled.

Course enrolment deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Deposits cannot be transferred to another student, Training intake, course, workshop or service and cannot be redeemed for cash or credit.

Full fee-paying students are eligible for a refund of fees paid, less the non-refundable deposit, if they withdraw on or before six (6) weeks prior to the official commencement of the Training.

As the official commencement of the Training is the beginning of the compulsory three-month pre-immersion training period, refund requests must be received at least six weeks before that date.

This means refund requests must generally be received approximately four and a half (4½) months before the first day of the face-to-face immersion.

All refunds processed will incur a 3% administration fee, regardless of circumstance, unless the Training is cancelled by SHA.

Students who withdraw within six (6) weeks of the official commencement of the Training, being the compulsory three-month pre-immersion training period, will only be eligible for a refund if they can demonstrate significant special circumstances to the Course Coordinator as to why they are unable to proceed.

Special circumstances may include serious illness, injury, bereavement or another significant and unexpected circumstance outside the student's reasonable control.

Any approved refund will exclude the non-refundable deposit and may be reduced by administration fees, Training resources already supplied and costs already committed by SHA.

Students requesting to transfer or defer their enrolment to a future Level 2 Practitioner Training must provide at least six (6) months' written notice prior to the official commencement of the Training, unless otherwise agreed by SHA in writing.

Transfers and deferrals are not automatic and are subject to written approval by SHA and availability in a future Training intake.

The original enrolment deposit is not transferable. A new deposit will be required to secure a place in a future Training.

6.
Transfer or deferral requests received within six months of the official commencement of the Training will ordinarily not be approved.

By this stage, significant planning and preparation have already commenced, including but not limited to:

• preparation of the compulsory three-month pre-immersion education;
• facilitator scheduling;
• venue bookings;
• accommodation planning;
• catering arrangements;
• participant pairings;
• assessment preparation;
• manuals and course resources;
• administration and logistics.

Late vacancies are also extremely difficult to fill, as replacement students must complete the compulsory pre-immersion training, organise leave from work and family commitments, arrange travel and accommodation, and prepare for the intensive eight-day immersion.

For these reasons, SHA is generally unable to accommodate late transfer or deferral requests.
